Primary Panathlon for Herts SLD Schools

Amwell View School hosted the Hertfordshire SLD Schools Panathlon on 3rd June 2015. This took place at Wodson Park in Ware where six teams competed for trophies, medals and certificates. Amwell View fielded two teams, A and B, and were thrilled to win both first and second place medals.

The teams spent the morning rotating around a circuit, spending 8 minutes on each of the different activities - Boccia blast, Flight path, Parachute popcorn, Volleybat, New age kurling, Messi football and Precision beanbag. The skills involved throwing for power and precision, striking a moving ball, pushing a kurling stone towards a numbered target, and dribbling a football through obstacles and finally scoring a goal.
After lunch every pupil took part in relay races and became very excited as their cheered for their respective teams.
