Religious Education

Religious Education this year, like other years, has been full of engaging lessons, assemblies, services and visits to the local churches in the area.

To re-tell the Nativity story, it has become a tradition for each class to create a life size model of a person from the Nativity story and the whole school participated in the re-telling of the story through songs and poems.

The whole school took part in our annual Easter Egg Hunt and we walked down to St Andrews church for our Easter service. The pupils were involved in making palm leaves to decorate the church and enjoyed thinking about ‘new life’ through songs and dancing during the service.

During Harvest time, pupils made large 3D food items for a display at the front of the school and parents helped by donating food items which Students 1 and 2 delivered to the local food bank.

Pastor Geoff Ace and his team from Lea Valley Church, Waltham Abbey continue to be actively involved in assemblies and services and I would like to thank all parents and friends of Amwell View School who attend and support services and assemblies. Together we make it meaningful for the pupils. I look forward to see what creations the pupils deliver in the following year.
