School Development Plan

The School Development Plan (SDP) aims to provide Staff, Parents, Governors and associated professionals with a clear
document that shows what the school intends to focus on for the next three academic years. The long term vision is summarised in
the 2018/19 plan.

During the Spring Term the staff group is consulted about the priorities for the School Development Plan. Contributions are
discussed at a full staff meeting and also forwarded to the Senior Leadership Team. In addition subject leaders provide action plans to inform the development of individual subjects.

The Plan comes into operation in April of each year and finishes in March, the following year. The time scale matches the financial
year and therefore the SDP is more easily linked to budget preparation and outcomes.

At the beginning of each term the Improvement Plan is checked for progress by the Senior Leadership Team.

The Governing body is responsible for the approval and effectiveness of the SDP. The SDP is also required to be shared with
Hertfordshire Education Authority.
